An inadequate Health & Safety policy can literally be a matter of life and death. That’s why, when it comes to Health & Safety, we take our work very seriously indeed – making sure that all our staff are comprehensively educated and protected against any hazards in the workplace. To this end we have formulated and maintained a rigorous Health & Safety policy across the board, and we make full use of the services of an independent Health & Safety adviser.
We also train our teams in product awareness and all aspects of safety through a series of “Toolbox Talks” – regular lectures aimed specifically at our sector of the construction industry. The talks help our staff to learn about creating and maintaining safer work conditions, and give them the knowledge to recognise, avoid, report and correct any potential safety hazards.
We know that safety concerns come top of the list when planning large-scale plumbing jobs. In addition to basic measures such as wearing protective clothing and safety goggles and dust masks when appropriate, we make sure that all our teams are fully trained in risks associated with electricity, plumbing products such as solvents, adhesives and solder, and working with gas and oil. We also keep our plumbers fully up to date with the latest developments in plumbing technology, and how these affect their Health & Safety practice.
Our engineers are some of the most experienced technicians in the country, and we make sure that they are comprehensively trained in all aspects of Health & Safety. This means that they can work in the knowledge that they are being protected, and provide consistently excellent results every time.
